Cremorne Renovation transformed an existing Californian Bungalow into a warm, light-filled contemporary family home, delivered in collaboration with Three Birds Renovations as part of their House 17 project. The original character of the bungalow was carefully preserved at the front while a substantial rear extension opened the home up to a modern, resort-style lifestyle.
The new open-plan kitchen and dining area features raked ceilings, custom timber-look joinery, natural stone benchtops, a large island with feature legs, and large sliding doors that connect directly to the alfresco zone and pool. A calm Cali Cool aesthetic runs throughout — coastal neutrals, decorative mouldings, brushed brass tapware, fluted vanity cabinetry, and layered natural textures create a cohesive and deeply considered interior.
Externally, the home was refreshed with a heritage-inspired palette, natural stonework, gabled detailing, and a relaxed rear pergola structure overlooking the pool and landscaped gardens. The completed home balances original bungalow charm with a modern, open and highly refined family living environment.
